The much anticipated gospel concert, The King’s Men Tour, featuring Kirk Franklin, Donnie McClurkin, Israel Houghton and Marvin Sapp had a BUMP in the road on the Atlanta stop. Due to an accident in route the production team was late, 2 hrs late to be exact. An 8pm show didn’t get started until 10pm. The venue, Chastain Park have very strict guidelines in regards to the time the concert must end and they did not bend their rules. The concert ended at 11pm giving the King’s Men only one hour to pull off what is normally done in a 2+ hour concert. It was a huge disappointment to the fans and many had driven from neighboring states.
But, so goes life when it comes to bumps in the road and disappointment. We must use the BUMPS to get better and travail through the disappointments. Even in that short span of time, God spoke at so many different levels. The question is……were you listening?
I am confident that The King’s Men Tour will only get better and better with each stop. Check out their tour schedule to find out when they’ll be in a city near you. Photos from the Atlanta stop.
All the best to you King’s Men!
The gospel choir competition, “How Sweet the Sound“, sponsored by Verizon Wireless was a spiritually uplifting experience. The evening was hosted by the popular gospel artists, Donald Lawrence and Yolanda Adams. The judges were gospel greats, Fred Hammond, Erica Campbell, Bishop Hezekiah Walker and Cece Winans. Each choir (Atlanta West Pentecostal Church Choir (Returning Champion), The Voices of Life of the Life Center Church, Robert Weaver & The Weaver Chorale, Cedric Sesley and Out For Souls, Anointed Voices and Dynamic Praise (Oakwood University)sung from their very hearts and souls which made it difficult to judge. In my opinion, they were all on point and did their very best! Here are a few images from the competition.
On Saturday, April 28, 2012 the powerful and prayer-filled conference for women hosted by the Condrey Evangelist Association was properly named, “Women of Power/Women of Prayer”. Hundreds of women filled New Birth Missionary B.C. to hear a word from on high. The presence of God filled the place as the Word was ministered through song and Word. God bless Cory and Joann Condrey for the FREE events that they continue to host to the glory of God.

Awesome worship and praise at Cory Condrey’s, Stand 2011 held in the Georgia Dome on Saturday, October 1. There were thousands of people in attendance at this FREE event hosted by Cory Condrey and his wife Joann. Home Depot and State Farm were major sponsors for this event. The highlight of the night was the number of people saved and baptized. The message was given by Pastor Sheryl Brady and many gospel artists graced the stage belting out songs from their heart. Some of the participating artists included Martha Munizzi, Darwin Hobbs, Deitrick Haddon, Kierra Sheard, Le’Andria Johnson, Earnest Pugh, Tye Tribett, James Fortune, Bishop Paul Morton, and Canton Jones. Bishop T.D. Jakes and President Barack Obama encouraged the attendees via satellite message. I’m looking forward to next year!

I attended the Bronner Brothers Hair Show at the Georgia World Congress Center this past weekend. I had not been in over five years, but it was just as I remembered. Hair, hair and more hair! There were natural style demonstrations as well as weave demos and everything in between. It is really interesting to see what you can do with hair. It is definitely worth attending just for the experience of the show.
