Gospel Choice Awards 2011

The annual Gospel Choice Awards Show in Atlanta took place on Monday, September 26, 2011 at the Georgia World Congress Center. This black tie evening started with a red carpet entrance that took place at 5pm and the Awards Dinner at 7pm. Ten Pastor’s were honored for their service to their church and community at large. Bishop Dr. William Davenport – Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, Social Circle, GA
Pastor Mike Glanton – New Life Christian Church, Jonesboro, GA
Pastor Benjamin Lockhart – Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Marietta, GA
Bishop Thomas Daniels – Woodsbury Miracle Fellowship Center Church, Woodbury, GA
Rev. Dr. George Crenshaw – Shaw Temple AME Zion Church, Smyrna, GA
Pastor Dr. Jeffrey Wimbush – Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church, Hiram, GA

The awards portion of the night was hosted by Comedian, Akintunde and Juandolyn Stokes. Two of the top award recipients were Reggie Gay, Lifetime Achievement Award and Dottie Peoples, Thomas A. Dorsey Award. The evening was filled with many gifted and anointed artists such as Dottie Peoples, Sonya McGuire, Kersten Stevens, Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson, Harold Holloway & Company, William Davenport, St. James UMC Sanctuary Choir, Alycia Levels, Billy D, Taylor Elise and International Christian Fellowship Choir.
